so, in my last post i mentioned that i'm taking this math and science class. Part of that is learning to recognize the patterns and math in our scriptures. Last week we learned how to actually do that, and our homework was to continue annotating Genesis 1, which is what we did in class.
Being the procrastinator that i am, i didn't start on that homework until today XD However, i did do it, and i did quite a bit, so it's all good :)
Anyways, i actually come on here to talk about a discovery i made while annotating Genesis 1...
So, i start by looking up all the main words in the verse, and then going on to the equations. While looking up the word Water for verse six, I found a really kool definition.
Water = The color or luster of a Diamond or Pearl, and sometimes other gems. A diamond of first water is pure and transparent, hence the figurative phrase, A man, or a genius, of the first water, that is, of the first excellence.
i thought that was kool, and so i decided to share it :) and i'm also going to share this really kool thing from class last week;
So, we diagrammed the sentence, Let there be Light, which came out to this...
(you)/ be/ Light. So, Heavenly Father is telling us that we need to become light. isn't that kool?!! XD

That water thing looks interesting. I'll have to look it up.
I really especially like that "Let there be light" thought. I wonder what you would get it you diagrammed the whole Bible.
On a side note, there's a scripture that says the glory of God is intelligence, or in other words, light and truth.
